Shoregate has been such a special place for our family—this Fall will mark our fourth year and second child enrolled. What makes Shoregate stand out is its warm, nurturing environment. It truly feels like a family, and the teachers are like another parent on your team, deeply invested not only in early academics but, more importantly, in social and emotional growth.

      When our daughter started school, she was extremely anxious—she had never been away from us before. But thanks to the excellent and experienced faculty, she quickly felt safe and comfortable. Their patience, care, and encouragement made all the difference, and we saw her confidence grow in ways we never expected. Now, as she gets ready to start kindergarten, we have no doubt that Shoregate has given her the foundation she needs to thrive.

      We also love that Shoregate is refreshingly low-tech—kids aren’t on screens but instead are immersed in the best parts of early childhood, learning how to engage with the world in a safe and gentle school setting. Field trips, holiday shows, class parties, square dancing, and outdoor time are just some of our favorite Shoregate memories. The fact that the school has been around for generations speaks to its lasting impact. It’s a hidden gem, and we’d choose it a thousand times over!​

This is our 3rd consecutive year sending a child to Shoregate pre-school. My wife and I have never had a single complaint or concern about communications with teachers and staff, quality of learning for our children, or atmosphere in which they are learning. Every staff member is extremely friendly and welcoming. And we've never had to "force" either of our children to go! They are excited each and everyday to go to school!
